Simmons put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over the West Tallahatchie Choctaws. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 51-50 victory last Friday.

Simmons' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Akiah Prince, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 22 rebounds. Prince is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vontasia Rush, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Simmons' record is now 25-0. As for West Tallahatchie, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.

Coming up, Simmons will face off against East Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Simmons' favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while East Marion has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. West Tallahatchie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
