Softball Game Preview: Washington Trojans vs. Morris Bulldogs

The Washington Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Morris Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Washington has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Washington is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 23 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Manhattan Center for Science & Math on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Rams. The match marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Morris came up short against Gompers on Tuesday, falling 16-6. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Morris, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Washington came out on top in a nail-biter against Morris in their previous meeting last Monday, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
