Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Christian Fellowship 78-22. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Christian Fellowship found their leader in sophomore Jake Davis, who went 10 of 13 en route to 24 points and four steals. Davis' evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brett Conklin, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Christian Fellowship, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Lighthouse Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jamestown at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Christian Fellowship also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m. on January 14, 2025. Christian Fellowship knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
