Soccer Recap: Fairfax Takes a Loss

Fairfax lost against Robinson back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions lost 5-2 to the Rams. While losing is never fun, Fairfax can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 155th, while Robinson are ranked 43rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Fairfax and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Robinson, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfax will take on South County at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Robinson, they will square off against Chantilly at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Robinson are facing Chantilly at the right time seeing as Chantilly are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
