South Lamar came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Fayette County Tigers by a score of 50-43. The win was all the more spectacular given the Stallions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Tigers are ranked 141st).

South Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Fayette County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.
