 The Sage Creek Bobcats will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against the Coronado Islanders at 3:30  p.m. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Sage Creek can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against San Dieguito Academy as Sage Creek made off with  a  15-2 win. With that  victory, Sage Creek brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
  Kassidy King was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). King has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances. King was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kaimana Coleman was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, seven  RBI,  and two  stolen bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Lola Carson, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs.
 Meanwhile,  with a playoff game on the line, Coronado rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  2-1  win over the Falcons. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Coronado.
  Sophie Kenny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.
 On the hitting side, Coronado's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Susanna Pate, who  went 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Sage Creek pushed their record up to 18-9 with that  win, which was their eighth straight  on the road. As for Coronado, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 15-7-2 record  this season.
