Baseball Recap: Drexel Takes a Loss

Drexel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to the Osceola Indians. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Drexel's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Drexel is taking a road trip to square off against Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Osceola, they will challenge Northeast Vernon County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
