Soccer Recap: Rancho Cotate Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rancho Cotate's offense. They came up short against the Ukiah Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 58th).

Rancho Cotate has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Ukiah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Rancho Cotate challenge the Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Newman will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Rancho Cotate surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ukiah, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Montgomery on the 13th.
