Softball Recap: O'donnell Sets Scoring Season-High Against Lubbock T

O'Donnell's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Lubbock T Titans as O'Donnell made off with a 22-1 win. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Karrigan James was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. James was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, O'Donnell got a massive performance out of Desiree Tamez, who scored three runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-2. Mia Childress was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

O'Donnell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .828. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

O'Donnell's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lubbock T, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. O'Donnell is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Petersburg at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lubbock T, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Hermleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
