Softball Recap: Graham Local Falcons vs. Tecumseh Arrows

After flying high against Springfield last Friday, Graham Local came back down to earth. The Graham Local Falcons fell just short of the Tecumseh Arrows by a score of 6-4 on Friday. Graham Local was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tecumseh apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Marissa Pine was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Pine has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Pine was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Rylee Olson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Liya May, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
