Volleyball Recap: Moorcroft Takes a Loss

Moorcroft suffered their biggest loss since November 2, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Tongue River Eagles, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-8.

Ciara Fenner paced Moorcroft's offense, picking up five kills. Fenner got some help from Kearza Martinez and her five assists.

Moorcroft's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Tongue River, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 16-6.

Moorcroft will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sundance at 7:00 p.m. on October 7. As for Tongue River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wright on the 27th.
