Volleyball Recap: Peru's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Peru waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Saranac Lake Red Storm. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Peru had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 18-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-3.

Alysa Darrah was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 digs and six assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Peru was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Peru's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Saranac Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

As of now, neither Peru nor the Red Storm have any future games scheduled.
