Baseball Game Preview: Loyola Blakefield Dons vs. Perkiomen School Panthers

The Loyola Blakefield Dons will take on the Perkiomen School Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Loyola Blakefield is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Loyola Blakefield didn't have quite enough to beat Boys Latin and fell 5-4.

John Carroll typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Perkiomen School proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Patriots 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Ryan Sink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, Perkiomen School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Those hits marked the first that Smith has got this season.

The victory got Perkiomen School back to even at 2-2. As for Loyola Blakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
