Lower Richland picks up 12th straight win at home

Recap: Lower Richland Diamond Hornets vs. Brookland-Cayce Bearcats

The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Brookland-Cayce at home to the tune of 60-8. Winning may never get old, but Lower Richland sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Lower Richland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chi?nya Isaac, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals. Isaac has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Chanyse Green was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Lower Richland pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41 points. As for Brookland-Cayce, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Lower Richland will head out on the road to challenge the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gilbert will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Diamond Hornets are ranked 42nd). As for Brookland-Cayce, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dreher comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
