While Hughesville's win against Bloomsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Panthers on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Dylan McConnell was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Wetzel, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
