Baseball Recap: Eagan Wildcats vs. Farmington Tigers

Eagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Farmington Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Eagan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Lunneborg, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Eagan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Farmington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eagan will take on rival Apple Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to face off against their familiar foe Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.8, the Sabers 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
