Baseball Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

Treasure Coast lost against Centennial back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Titans fell 4-1 to the Eagles.

Treasure Coast got a good showing from Colin Jackson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jackson has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Treasure Coast saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sanchez, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Jayden Mongiove also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Treasure Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Centennial, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.

Treasure Coast didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 loss against Jensen Beach on the 10th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next game, a 14-5 defeat against Okeechobee on the 11th.
