Softball Recap: Industrial's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Industrial hadn't done well against Hallettsville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Industrial Cobras came out on top against the Hallettsville Brahmas by a score of 6-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won four games in a row.

Khloe Lumpkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Reagan Little was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Clancy Kolle, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Industrial pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hallettsville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.

Industrial and Hallettsville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Industrial (ranked 409th) will meet Palacios (ranked 830th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Industrial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season. Meanwhile, Hallettsville will square off against Tidehaven at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 182 places (91 vs. 273).
