Baseball Recap: Redmond Gets the Win

Redmond won the last time they faced Bellevue and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 7-2.

Hiroshi Johnson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cavin Bowmer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Roman Collins also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Redmond's record now sits at 4-6. As for Bellevue, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redmond will challenge Inglemoor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
