Palmyra extends road losing streak to eight

The Palmyra Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. Their tough 53-32 loss to Elmwood-Murdock might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Palmyra has suffered since December 8, 2023.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Erhart, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Draven Priel, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Palmyra's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Elmwood-Murdock, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmyra will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. One thing working in Auburn's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matches. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they will head out on the road to face off against Mead at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
