Softball Game Preview: Benbrook Bobcats vs. Graford Rabbits

The Benbrook Bobcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Graford Rabbits at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Benbrook has three straight victories, Graford has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Benbrook had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Diamond Hill-Jarvis on Tuesday. Benbrook blew past Diamond Hill-Jarvis 19-2. That looming 19-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Maelee Lindley was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (four). Sealee Lindley was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.

Benbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Diamond Hill-Jarvis only posted an OBP of .286.

Meanwhile, Graford came up short against Windthorst on Monday, falling 13-2.

Graford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Ruddy, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Graford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Benbrook, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
