League recap: Tipton extends winning streak with victory over Lafayette Central Catholic

Tipton added to the longest winning streak in Hoosier this week by beating Lafayette Central Catholic, 28-24. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Rensselaer Central took down North Judson-San Pierre 43-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dylan Wright threw for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 37 yards during the win.

Kole Young was a key player and the best on defense this week as Twin Lakes beat Fairfield. He nabbed 1 interception.

He went 11-15 with 0 interceptions.

Michael Griffin was a beast in the backfield as the Indians bested the Falcons.

Brandon Watt was the best wideout in the league this week as West Lafayette defeated Western. Watt tallied 2 receptions for 113 yards. Everett Gorup helped West Lafayette's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 25 yards.

West Lafayette's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Parker Ronchetto has thrown for 2,186 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Watt has 16 catches for 635 yards.

Tipton's NATE HEIN is a mere 89 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 158 carries HEIN has accumulated 911 yard this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Aaron Tolle's team takes on the Oracles. The Blue Devils are in fourth place, while Delphi Community is in sixth place.

Twin Lakes made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,552 from 4,082. The advance stemmed from a 27-21 victory over Fairfield last week.
