Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zaniyah Corneille and Sofia Rosemire Lead Downey to Victory + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Downey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the Enochs Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Downey was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-13.

Leading Downey to victory were Sofia Rosemire and Zaniyah Corneille. Rosemire had 11 digs and five assists, while Corneille hit 75% for 29 kills and 12 digs and four aces. Corneille is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Ava Hardy also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Downey's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Enochs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Downey will head out on the road to take on Turlock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Enochs, they will challenge Sierra at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
