Basketball Game Preview: STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans vs. Loveland Classical Lions

The STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans will head out to square off against the Loveland Classical Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, STEM School Highlands Ranch was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Golden View Classical Academy. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Sentinels are ranked 106th).

Loveland Classical has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Addenbrooke Classical Academy on Saturday.

Loveland Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

STEM School Highlands Ranch was dealt a bruising 59-27 defeat at the hands of Loveland Classical in their previous matchup on February 5th. Can STEM School Highlands Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
