Prairie View had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Boulder Panthers as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The Thunderhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Prairie View got a massive performance out of Preston Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases and three runs. Miller continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Tarin, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

Prairie View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Prairie View pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Boulder, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.

Coincidentally, Prairie View and Boulder will both be playing Brighton the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Thunderhawks will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
