Basketball Recap: Western Christian Skates Past Santiam with Ease

Western Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Santiam Wolverines, posting a 67-30 victory. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Western Christian pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points over those games. As for Santiam, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.

Coming up, Western Christian will challenge Salem Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem Academy will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Western Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santiam, they will be playing at home against Gervais at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
