Football Game Preview: Smackover Buckaroos vs. Prescott Curley Wolves

Smackover is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Prescott is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Buckaroos will welcome the Curley Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smackover has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 152 points over their last three games.

Smackover's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Parkers Chapel 48-0. The result was nothing new for the Buckaroos, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Prescott finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of Bismarck. The Curley Wolves' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Prescott's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Smackover, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Smackover might still be hurting after the 54-28 loss they got from Prescott in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Buckaroos, Dwayne White (who rushed for 96 yards and one score on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
