Soccer Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom managed to slip by Ashe County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 5-2 to the Huskies on Wednesday. Freedom just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Drew Rogers wasn't going to let Ashe County walk away unscathed as she scored both of Freedom's goals, bringing her season total up to five goals.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Ashe County, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Freedom is set to take on their familiar foe Watauga at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ashe County will face off against rival South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
