Recap: Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors vs. Ringgold Tigers
The Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors were the 84-83 winner over the Ringgold Tigers when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ringgold on Tuesday.
Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Darian Keefe, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for Keefe. The team also got some help courtesy of Champion Bowman, who scored five points along with three steals.
Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ringgold, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will be home for the holidays to greet Heritage at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three contests. Ringgold will be home for the holidays to greet Southeast Whitfield County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Whitfield County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Ringgold is ranked 222nd).
