Recap: Riverside Panthers vs. Madison Mustangs
The Riverside Panthers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 56-51 win over Madison on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Riverside, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Riverside found their leader in underclassman Jack Cupples, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Harralston, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Riverside's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11. As for Madison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Scotts Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Scotts Hill is ranked 314th, while Riverside is ranked 315th). As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Liberty Tech Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Tech Magnet is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
