Softball Recap: North Summit Braves vs. Granger Lancers
North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Granger Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to North Summit of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.
For Granger's part, they got a massive performance out of Mia Hernandez, who went 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylie Harper, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Granger, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17.
North Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granger, they will head out on the road to take on Cyprus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cyprus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
