The Gila Bend Gila Monsters will head out to face off against the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Gila Bend made easy work of Ajo and carried off a 19-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gila Monsters.

The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lion considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Matt Sheehan made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Sheehan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
