Softball Recap: Antelope Gets the Win

Rio Linda typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Antelope proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Andrea Quintanilla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nalani Navarro, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Deanna Richardson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Antelope's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Rio Linda, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-8.

As of now, neither Antelope nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
