Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They put the hurt on the Organ Mountain Knights with a sharp 61-39 win on Monday. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Rizaya Cash had an outrageously good game as she went 9-for-16 to rack up 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joy Hunt, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards.
Centennial was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Organ Mountain only one assist.
Organ Mountain lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Siena Gonzales, who posted 13 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Addison Wells, who earned five points and six boards.
Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. Organ Mountain is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
