Preview: Allen vs. Randolph
Allen may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Randolph at 7:00 PM. Allen are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
Allen secured a 32-26 W over Wausa. Allen found Allen's leader in underclassman sophomore Kobe Kumm, who picked up 112 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. In fact, with 13 tackles Isom was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, Randolph and Bloomfield -- ranked 74th and 25th in the MaxPreps national rankings, respectively -- squared off last Thursday in a high-profile match. Randolph took a hard 12-30 fall against Bloomfield. Randolph were down by 6-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Allen's win lifted them to 5-1 while Randolph's loss dropped them down to 5-1. In their win, Allen relied heavily on sophomore Kobe Kumm, who picked up 112 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. Randolph will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
