Baseball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-6 to the Brown Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 17-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Joseph Boyd was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Nizarian Brown was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Shawnee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 23-13 victory against Central on the 26th. As for Brown, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-7 win against Francis Parker on the 26th.
