Basketball Game Preview: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Bosco Tech Tigers

The Redlands East Valley Wildcats and the Bosco Tech Tigers will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Redlands East Valley picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Riverside Prep. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Silver Knights are ranked 1014th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Demaj Moore was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Smith, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 15 points.

Redlands East Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bosco Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Norco by a score of 69-62 on Friday.

Bosco Tech's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Redlands East Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
