Jordan lost to Chapel Hill back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Jordan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Chapel Hill.

Jordan got a great performance from Luke Samples as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Samples has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Frankie Gilchrist also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Jordan's record is now 6-4. As for Chapel Hill, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

Jordan will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chapel Hill: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
