Basketball Recap: Miranda Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crisp County over Tattnall County

Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 50-28 to the Tattnall County Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Warriors are ranked 186th).

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miranda Moore, who posted five points in addition to nine steals, eight rebounds, and seven blocks. Moore is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariyah Chambers, who put up seven points and six boards.

Crisp County's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Tattnall County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Crisp County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-24 defeat against Appling County on the 7th. As for Tattnall County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-38 victory against Toombs County on the 7th.
