Volleyball Recap: Saint Mary's Hall Starts off Right with Win over Lutheran

Saint Mary's Hall took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lutheran Mustangs. The Barons haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-15.

Breanna Benavides had an outrageously good game as she had 28 digs and 12 aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season.

Benavides wasn't the only good server: Saint Mary's Hall was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Saint Mary's Hall has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against The Christian School at Castle Hills on the 15th. Lutheran has also already played their next contest (against Lake Country Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
