Basketball Recap: Terry's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Terry waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 41-26 victory over the Moss Point Tigers. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 15 points.

Terry was led to victory by Madison Jones and Zion Nelson. Jones almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards, while Nelson posted nine points and eight rebounds. Jones is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Maleah Young was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Moss Point's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landyn Johnson, who earned eight points and four steals, and Kirsten Bailey, who scored eight points and three steals.

Terry is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.9 points per game. As for Moss Point, they moved to 14-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Terry has already played their next contest (against West Jones), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Moss Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-20 win against Poplarville on the 20th.
