Baseball Recap: South Takes a Loss

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Southeast Golden Buffalo, falling 17-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Buffalo this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 on Tuesday.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Southeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10-2.

South and Southeast could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Titans will take on Manhattan on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (210 vs. 24). Meanwhile, Southeast (ranked 207th) will meet West (ranked 56th) on Monday.
