Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln County). They were the clear victors by a 25-2 margin over the Nitro Wildcats on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Laney Nelson made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nelson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lacy Harper was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Jillian Starcher, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.

Lincoln County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .711. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Lincoln County, bringing their record up to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Nitro, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Lincoln County has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Chapmanville Regional on the 9th. As for Nitro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-12 loss against Buffalo on the 9th.
