Volleyball Recap: Plainfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield took on Bacon Academy on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 2nd.

Plainfield actually scored more points across those five sets (107-90), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 7-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Plainfield still got an impressive performance from Paige Sears, who had 36 assists and 12 digs. Sears has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 18 times she's played. Shae Valentin was another key player, getting 38 digs and two aces.

The loss snapped Plainfield's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 10-10 record. As for Bacon Academy, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8.

As of now, neither Plainfield nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
