Football Recap: Mckinney Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Angel Rivera and Chase Bruegel

After flying high against Shelton last Friday, McKinney Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Mustangs took a hard 35-21 fall against the Cypress Christian Warriors on Friday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in December of 2017.

McKinney Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Chase Bruegel and Angel Rivera. Bruegel picked up 78 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while Rivera gained 122 total yards and a touchdown. Rivera didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made six total tackles (1.0 for loss).
