Football Recap: Legacy Christian Academy's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Dallas HSAA two weeks ago, Legacy Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 43-21 to the Parish Episcopal Panthers on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Although Legacy Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Jacob Koon, Dave Nasambu, and Sam Jones.

Parish Episcopal was led to victory by Marcus Hanish and Jaylen Pile. Hanish rushed for 192 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, while Pile picked up 130 receiving yards and two scores. Those 192 rushing yards gave Hanish a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Legacy Christian Academy fell to 3-1. As for Parish Episcopal, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Legacy Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parish Episcopal, they will host Nolan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
