Volleyball Recap: Wolfe City Comes Up Short

Wolfe City was the 3-0 winner over Cumby when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Trojans on Tuesday. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Trojans since Tuesday.

Wolfe City was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cumby work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 28-26, 25-17.

Wolfe City has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for Cumby, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-13.

While Wolfe City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
