Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Bella Myers and Kyra Aderman Lead Northfield to Victory

Northfield won the last time they faced Mississinewa and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Norsemen walked away with a 3-1 win over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Norsemen.

While Northfield might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mississinewa scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23.

Northfield was led to victory by Kyra Aderman and Bella Myers. Aderman had four digs and four aces, while Myers had ten digs. Those four aces gave Aderman a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Northfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Mississinewa still got an impressive performance from Jaeli Miller, who had six digs and four aces. Miller is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Arabella Blake also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Northfield's record is now 5-2. As for Mississinewa, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northfield will welcome Huntington North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mississinewa, they will square off against Southern Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
