The Liberty Common Eagles will head out to take on the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Common is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Liberty Common beat Platte Valley 44-40. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.

Liberty Common got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pierce Richardson out in front who went 8-for-19 en route to 18 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Richardson has scored at least a third of Liberty Common's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daegan Thayer, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Liberty Common smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Windsor Charter Academy came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Outlaws 75-72. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Firebirds have posted since December 5, 2024.

Windsor Charter Academy's win came from a few key players Liberty Common will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dayton Long, who went 9-for-17 on his way to 23 points and seven boards. Andrew Schams was another key player, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds.

Windsor Charter Academy pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Liberty Common, their record now sits at 12-8.

Liberty Common came up short against Windsor Charter Academy in their previous matchup on February 4th, falling 71-66. Can Liberty Common avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
