Softball Recap: Brazoswood Takes a Loss

Brazoswood was the 6-2 winner over Clear Springs when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Brazoswood Buccaneers lost 13-2 to the Clear Springs Chargers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Buccaneers have suffered against the Chargers since April 9, 2021.

Brazoswood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Clear Springs, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Brazoswood and Clear Springs should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Brazoswood (ranked 91st) will meet Dickinson (ranked 386th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Clear Springs will face off against Clear Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 450 places (14 vs. 464).
